Celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day With The Sisters, Begorra!

You’ve forwarded all your clocks one hour. You’re feeling the fever of springtime right around the corner. You’re wondering what there is to do with yourself on Friday night, March 14? Gather your finest in green-wear, stuff your wallets with greenbacks, and get yourself to the N’Touch Bar (1548 Polk Street), local pub of choice and home-base for the antics and shenanigans of “ShamRockin’ 3: Bringin’ in the Green.”

If you’ve attended this benefit for sex-worker healthcare in the past two years, you know that Sister MaeJoy B. withU works hard to make this event unique and full of scandalous surprises for everyone in attendance. Last year Donna Sachet was even spotted at the event wearing nothing but green! This year is no different, and there is a full lineup of performances honoring the snake, springtime, and Saint Paddy.

In between the sexy performances of Ginger Virago, Elizabeth Weisbrot, Wendy Vinaigrette, and the Sisters’ very own Pitch Bitches, attendees will be able to dance and enjoy the spinning of DJs Floozy Flo and Jovino. If you are a fan of Suppository Spelling, you’ll not want to miss the green snake number that she has put together for later in the evening. The Leprechettes, a sexy high-jinXin’ group of girl leprechauns, will blast into the celebrations just after midnight for a burst of energy that will carry the evening until last call.

The capers begin at 8:30 p.m., and a donation of $10 - $20 gets you into the door (nobody turned away for lack of making a donation), where Sister MaeJoy promises to have quite a few surprises underneath her green skirt. This year’s penis print raffles will include work from Antonio Biaggi, Jake Deckard (Gay Video News Performer of the Year), Ricky Sinz (GayVN solo performance winner), handsome Derrick Hanson, and many others.

“Antonio Biaggi is a relative newcomer to the adult video scene. He really showed artistic creativity using his 11-inch brush for his penis prints,” reports Sister MaeJoy. “A lot of the Joy for me with this benefit is being able to be present to observe how every performer approaches the task of creating penis prints! To date, there are no two exactly alike, and winners definitely have a keepsake for their wall at home or office.” Ricky Sinz, riding the surf from winning a GayVN in February for best solo scene, is happy to be in town for ShamRockin’, promising, “I’ll do anything for The Sisters. I think they are great and are always working very hard to help the community.” He adds, “I know that ShamRockin’ will be a lot of fun - just to see the shows and to meet people from the community that want to support sex-worker healthcare.”

All proceeds from this benefit will go directly to provide sex-worker healthcare at St. James Infirmary, which offers free, confidential, nonjudgmental medical and social services for female, transgendered, and male sex workers. They are the first occupational safety and health clinic for sex-workers anywhere, run by and for sex workers.

So go dig out that green number that’s been in the closet since last St. Patrick’s Day, and bring it forth to the N’Touch bar for ShamRockin’3. There will be shenanigans and shillelaghs galore, and that ain’t no blarney!
