A memorial tribute to Martin Delaney, co-founder of Project Inform, the HIV education advocacy organization, sprang up at Castro and 18th Streets. Founded in 1985, Project Inform is a national vortex of important information for people with HIV/AIDS and the people who care about them. Martin Delaney led the daring usage of experimental treatments for people before the drugs were FDA-approved. Improved accessibility of HIV drugs and a cure for AIDS were current goals of Delaney. Through Project Inform, Delaney saved lives, and his work will live on through the organization that he helped create. For memorial information, go to wwww.projectinform.org.
