Stop AIDS Project Workshop Presents Sexual Circuitry Guru Wagner

As a free event offered by the Stop AIDS Project, local sexual circuitry guru Kurt Wagner took a group of us through some interactive exercises to help us make our sexual connections more satisfying. This “playshop” was held on Aug. 3 at Mack Folsom Prison sex club, and the seminar was entitled, “Intensify Your Sexual Circuitry.” Former SF Leather Daddy Tony Koester introduced Wagner, who explained that sexual circuitry is the physical, mental, and energetic components that make up being a sexual person. These three layers operate separately, but if coordinated and integrated, they will bring a more powerful sexual expression and intensity. He said the physical layer has many different manifestations and ways that things can go right or wrong. The body has a collection of nerve and muscle plexuses that, when stimulated, cause a greater sexual response and experience. The endocrine system, the muscle skeletal aspect, and the innervations of nerves all contribute to a powerful sexual response.

“Mentally, most of us have been conditioned away from our bodies and our natural impulses, and impulses in this context means healthy drives and desires,” said Wagner. “Not only that, we’ve been domesticated to fit a way of being that doesn’t freak other people out—because theyy’ve been domesticated as well.” He said to release this condition requires revamping and re-choosing which ways you will be sexual and to have a balanced view of what it means to be principally an animal with a mind. Finally, there are energetic dynamics that have some roots in the chakra system, and also involve the meridians from a variety of other paradigms. Taking it at the most basic, the first chakra drives most of the energy in the body. This is the root of your body energy- the pelvis, home to the genitals and elimination and the place where you are most confronted with your animal aspect. Wagner said the process and work of sexual circuitry is to increase awareness through specific exercises, and to harness the systems that allow for integration of all of the components to being a sexual being.

He gave us exercises. Connect with your first circuit by sticking a finger in either end. He said start with your anus to begin to spark the energy; then slowly put a finger in your mouth. Feel that experience. Work with a partner after you get familiar with your own circuit. A derivative of this is to put a hand on the perineum of your partner and a hand over the mouth or on the neck. Not as intense, but stimulating nonetheless. A finger in the mouth can release a primal experience during babyhood. This can be therapeutic if you may have had a bad experience with a father or other male in your childhood. It’s very nurturing.

The alimentary canal is a tube through which food passes in animals, extending from the mouth to the anus and forming a large part of the digestive system. In human adults, it is about 30 feet long, consisting of the mouth cavity, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, and the small and large intestines, ending in the anus.

Wagner said grounding the body is vital for good sex. Try to keep, if possible, your feet on the floor and/or your partner’s feet on the floor. “There is more grounding with more feet,” said Wagner. He said the worst position for sexual grounding is the missionary position. He said to be connected genitally, some grounding is necessary. We tried different exercises (clothed) where four feet were on the ground, then just one partner was grounded, and then no feet on the ground. We definitely felt the difference. He also said as much as possible to have the top try a series of touching by putting hands on both pelvic bones; on pelvic bone and shoulder; hands on both shoulders; hand on pelvis and heart; hand on pelvis and belly; and hand on pelvis and solar plexus. If the top is not doing this, be a pushy bottom and guide his hands accordingly. When getting blowjobs, Wagner said to connect the circuits with the receiver’s hand on the bottom’s bottom or perineum of the partner while he is blowing you. During sixty-nine, to really activate the circuits, put a finger in his ass or touch his heart or belly. “Just like setting a proper table, it’s important to set the circuitry,” he said. “You wouldn’t want to pour the water until the glass was set down and ready to receive. The same with sexual circuitry.”

Exposure to yourself and others builds a charge before sex starts. He said to visualize yourself and then your partner naked in as many different positions as you can: face up, face down, doggy, and on your back. Don’t just jump right into sex. Let the gap between looking and touching be enough time to really visualize each other. Allow yourself to be vulnerable for a moment and just be seen, and let your partner do the same for you as he becomes vulnerable.

A fun trick is to pretend you are washing your partner the way a mother animal washes its young. With your hands, go all over his body as if to wash it (not literally, unless you’re having shower sex). This should stimulate the partner towards being in the body.

Wagner spoke of the microcosmic orbit, which is from Mantak Chia’s work, The Multi-Orgasmic Man. First you learn to do Kegels with your pubococcygeus muscle in your groin. Contract and release the muscle that you use to stop your flow when urinating. Then imagine your body with a dividing line in the center. A pulse begins at your perineum, initiated with pubococcygeus contraction. It travels from your perineum to your anus to your tailbone (coccyx). Continue visualizing it up the spinal cord to your neck. From there it travels and goes between the two lobes of your brain. Coming across the top of your head and going down your forehead, it travels between your eyebrows; then between your eyes; down the bridge of your nose; and lands in the roof of your mouth. Using your tongue, gently catch this ball of energy and swallow it. Now let it travel from your Adam’s apple to the front of your body. It moves down between your pectorals; across your solar plexus; crossing the belly button; down the center; across the top of your dick; over the head; under the head; between your scrotum; and back to the perineum. That was one cycle. It seems complicated, but basically try to let the energy travel from your crotch to your ass; up your back; over your head and into your mouth; then down your chest and back to the crotch. Wagner suggests you do this in batches of ten to twenty and then speed it up. Try to do this every day for a week, he said. “Continue to connect better and better for better sex,” he said. “McDonald’s might feed you, but you get hungry pretty soon after eating there. A really good meal will satisfy you for some time.”
“This September there is an offering of four great classes,” Wagner told Bay Times. “Each of these touches on body, mind, and soul.” Classes are from 7:30-9:30pm at a cost of $120 per series of three. Wagner will be teaching these classes in a series called “Back to School”: Mondays for Meditation Practice (Sept. 11, 18, 25); Tuesdays for Sexual Circuitry (Sept. 12, 19, 26); Wednesdays for Hypnosis (Sept. 13, 20, 27); and Thursdays for Completing Cycles/Ending Relationships (Sept. 14, 21, 28).
