Fred Pehlps is Coming to The Castro this Week
Published: January 28, 2010

Hate-monger Rev. Fred Phelps is coming to San Francisco on Jan. 289

The infamous Rev. Fred Phelps, who travels the world with his family and tiny congregation to picket all things homosexua with large, gaudy hate signs that carry messages like "God Hates Fags" is on his way to San Francisco. Phelps first came to fame when he picketed the funeral of Matthew Shephard.
The Reverend, who hails from Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas, will be at the Randall Children's Museum, on the hill above Castro and Market, to picket the production of Rent that the kids are putting on. Here's how Phelps' has announced the action:

WBC To Picket The Faginfested Randall Museum Theatre & Their Production of The Filthy Fag Play, “Rentâ€
The children of this generation have been corrupted from the womb by parents who despise them (Ps. 58:3). You've flipped God's standard on its head, teaching your children that good is evil and evil is good (Isa. 5:20). WBC will be at the Randall Museum Theatre to show you brutes and your children the true face of obedience to God, to wit: "Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him." Lev. 19:17. In short: you rebels against God show that you hate each other every time you see your fellow rebels proudly flaunting their filthy fornication and abominable fag sex acts, and then FAIL to rebuke them for those sins. God hates you for that! YOU'RE GOING TO HELL.

The Randall Museum is on the hill above the Arco at Castro and Market at 199 Museum Way. Phelps plans to be there from 6:30-7:30pm on Thursday, Jan. 28. Counter-demonstrators are welcome.
